He was appointed by the Florida Governor to serve on the Florida Real Estate Commission from 2000 to 2005. He served as Chairman of the Florida Real Estate Commission from 2004 to 2005. In 2017 he was re-appointed by another sitting Governor to serve on the Florida Real Estate Commission from 2017 to 2021. He has held several leadership positions in the local Orlando Regional Realtors Association, the Florida Association of Realtors, the Miami Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He holds over 10 real estate professional designations including CIPS, CRB, RSPS, MRP, SFR, E-Pro, AHWD, TRC. He holds an Associate Degree from Miami College in Political Science with Governmental Studies from Florida International University. Guy Sanchez, Jr. is married to a fellow real estate professional who also has over 30 years of real estate experience serving as a real estate broker associate with Avanti Way Realty as well. Guy Sanchez, Jr. is currently a Broker Sales Associate and in the position of Business Developer for Avanti Way Realty.
